The Biltmore Coral Gables Wedding

Cara & Jordan’s wedding was one of my favorites. A friend of mine sent Cara my way and I am so glad she did. Cara & Jordan are the sweetest couple and I still get to continue our friendship to this day, watching their little one grow.

Although they are New York City residents (I was secretly hoping the would have the wedding there) they wanted to treat their guests to a destination wedding. The decided on The Biltmore Coral Gables for their venue, it was PERFECT for the style that Cara wanted. She was one of my brides that knew exactly what she wanted and it was easy to work with her to make the design become a reality.

 

Orchids were her flower of choice and we had them everywhere. They cascaded perfectly from the Hupa and overflowing from their centerpieces. Also rose gold was a must. Now you can find it everywhere, then it was hard to come by, but we put touches of it in where we could.

For the ceremony it was important that it started when the sun was going down. It was amazing, the backdrop of the hotel is just breathtaking. We had a little hiccup when a guest knocked over a vase in the aisle but we just laughed it off.

Cara & Jordans cocktail hour had some of my favorite escort cards. Again Denise with Dogwood Blossoms Stationary knocked this out of the park. These escort card scrolls were the perfect touch. They not only helped guests find their tables but had little food icons. So CUTE!

We decided to do a combination or round tables, square tables, and one of the longest head tables ever 🙂 We also brought in line furniture to surround the dance floor so guests could relax when taking a break from dancing.

The floral for their wedding was INSANE! The tall centerpieces were so lush and the floral overflowed down the vases to the tables. The pictures do not do justice. When creative minds come together its amazing what can happen.
