Destined AATR Couple {Jenny & Justin}
I am extremely excited for Jenny & Justin’s wedding that will take place in September at the Lake Mary Events Center. We have been working a lot on their wedding design and I can’t wait to see it come to life. Jenny & Justin took the time to answer some questions about their engagement and wedding planning process. I hope you enjoy reading their answers as much as I did! Oh and take a look at how fabulous their engagement pictures are!
2. The Lake Mary Events Center was the first wedding location we saw, and we fell in love with it right away. The lake view and huge windows were so elegant and yet simple and something that could be played up. We wanted to get married on our anniversary (9/02/10… yes it is 90210 lol) but the date was full so we picked the 30th instead.
3. We were in Chicago for a “work trip” to visit one of Justin’s stores there when he popped the question. Chicago was one of the first places we visited together when we were dating, and the first place I had ever seen snow. The first night we were there, Justin said we were going to a nice dinner, so keep in mind I was in a dress in 20 degree weather! On the way walking to dinner, I tried to put my hand in his jacket pocket because it was cold and I had no pockets. He quickly grabbed my hand and held it… little did I know it was because the ring was hiding in that pocket! After taking a taxi to what I thought was back to the hotel (obviously I am not an expert on Chicago) we got out and Justin told me there was somewhere he wanted to show me really fast a block down. While this sounded nice, I was freezing and couldn’t wait to get back to some warmth! After walking down, he took me down a flight of beautiful stairs right off the street and right next to the river in the heart of downtown Chicago. He said he thought that was the most beautiful part of Chicago and then said he had something he wanted to ask me. After bending on one knee, he told me he knew I was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with (something that he had never told me before, although I had already told him I knew he was the one he had wanted to wait until a proposal to tell me those special words) and asked me to marry him. Little did I know until afterwards he also had his friends from the store and one of their girlfriends (also a friend of mine) follow us and hide on the stairs to take pictures and a video!
4. We hired an Affair to Remember firstly because we knew we already knew we wanted a wedding planner, and after doing some research on planners in Orlando AATR came up with the best reviews. Then, after meeting with Rachel, we didn’t even bother to interview anymore planners because she had impressed us so much! 🙂
5. So far everything has honestly gone very smoothly! The hardest part has probably been trying to figure out how much money to spend on each vendor to fit within the budget.
